Redesigning Website

Started in 2005, in Coquitlam, BC UAViation Aerial Solutions has been providing clients with unique aerial solutions from industrial applications, search & rescue, inspection, survey & mapping and many more. Bring new perspective of drones to help other industries accomplish tasks in a faster, safer and effective way.

The team at UAViation, was wanting to updated and redesign their current website to fit the modern & clean look that their competitors had. Finding inspiration through their competitors and other sites like dribble we were able to polish up their website.

An outdated website that didn’t have consistent typefaces colours, and icon styles. The whole website seems to bring you back to 1998 right when the world wide web was accessible for everyday people. With a website with not just design inconsistencies, it also had information that felt repetitive and unhelpful. As a user for a job that is quite hefty in price. I want to find my information fast and simple before I clicked out.

The great thing to say about the place was since there was jam pack of information the SEO and Google keywords was amazing. Anything relating to drones, or aerial photography their website would be the first on Google.

We followed a simple list of things to hit for this project:

  • Redesigning to elevate and update the companies look
  • Create a consistent website with fonts and colours used
  • Rewriting content and simplify for easy user interaction.
  • Creating clever ways to break down information relating to price, package deals, services.

Creating a website that has easier user interaction, and create trust in the website.

With the team, our background with developing and designing was strictly HTML, JS, PHP, Node.js, and CSS. Redeveloping and altering the existing WordPress themes caused challenges with design and development. When creating designs that easily break down the information, parallax scrolling seemed not the right way to do it (making users find the answer, why not have it right there for them.)
